Cydia Update for IOS 4.2.1

The new Cydia was released yesterday however it doesn't show up anywhere in Cydia as an update. At this time you must download and install it manually following the directions below.

Download the new Cydia v1.0.3366-1.deb

There are a few different ways you can install however the simplest for most people would be...

- FTP into your phone using something like iSutal, WinSCP, iFunBox etc.
- Navigate your way to the folder /private/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall (If you get to the Media folder and find that there is no Cydia folder then you just need to manually create one. Same with the AutoInstall folder. THEY ARE CASE SENSITIVE!!)
- Now drag and drop the cydia_1.0.3366-1_iphoneos-arm.deb file that you downloaded above into that folder
- Reboot your device and that's it!

Changes that I have noticed so far...

- AMAZINGLY FAST throughout the entire app! Saurik must have finally added some nitrous or boost to Cydia because it's WICKED FAST NOW!
- Interface is pretty much the same with the exception of a few things here and there
- The Changes badge is finally working again (I am sure most of you have noticed that on previous versions of Cydia when there were updates available for the apps you have already installed there used to be a little red badge with a number on the Changes tab however ever since iOS4 came out this hadn't been working until now.)

~~UPDATE~~
Some people are reporting that this isn't working on 3.x FW and that Saurik hasn't ported it to work with 3.x FW yet. However there are people who are reporting that this works just fine so perhaps certain people aren't installing correctly. If you have installed this on 3.X FW and it isn't working then just do the following...

- Download Cydia v1.0.3222-73.deb
- Follow the instructions above for putting this deb file into the AutoInstall folder and installing
- Make SURE that you delete the other deb file if it is still in the AutoInstall folder
